Red Velvet Cream Cheese Brownies

Base

  • 1 box Duncan Hines Red Velvet cake mix
  • 3/4 cup butter, after melting
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips


Filling

  • 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla


Preparation

  1. Heat oven to 325°F.
  2. Combine base ingredients
  3. Spread into 9x12 glass baking dish
  4. Combine filling ingredients into a 2nd bowl
  5. Pour filling over base mix
  6. Use a knife & swirl filling through mix making a marbled design
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean
  8. Cool completely
