Red Velvet Cream Cheese Brownies

Base
- 1 box Duncan Hines Red Velvet cake mix
- 3/4 cup butter, after melting
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Filling
- 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
- Heat oven to 325°F.
- Combine base ingredients
- Spread into 9x12 glass baking dish
- Combine filling ingredients into a 2nd bowl
- Pour filling over base mix
- Use a knife & swirl filling through mix making a marbled design
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean
- Cool completely
